Safety Message for the Week – 04/27/15 – Well Rested

Staying well rested is a good thing, not just for the workplace but also in your overall life. To do anything you need to be rested; it puts you into the correct mindset to get things done. The average adult needs 7.5 to 8 hours of sleep on a daily basis to operate in a proper fashion. Being well rested means you can accomplish more at work and you’ll feel good throughout the day. Dangers of not being well rested; you are less perceptive, your mind AND body feel it, and you tend to get sluggish. On a job site you’ll be slower to work and slower to react, which elevates the dangers to you since you won’t be as aware or at attention to what is happening around you. Make sure to get a good night’s rest every night for your own wellbeing and safety.
