Every safety message has the number of work related accidents we have had for the year.  Every January 1st, the record goes back to zero and we start the New Year with a “Clean Slate”.  We like to keep the number as low as possible, but company policy requires that all work injuries be reported no matter how minor it may seem at the time.

Injuries do not allow for a clean slate however.  While some injuries will repair, ask anyone with a bad back or shoulder if their pain goes away on January 1st.
