One of the least predictable hazards on any outdoor worksite is wind conditions.  As we all know, wind speeds can drastically change from not only day to day, but second to second.  Certain tasks such as using an extension ladder or having a crane assist in lifting materials for you, can go from routine to dangerous in an instant.  With this in mind it is important to always plan for the worst-case scenario or avoid risky actions all together on particularly windy days.  Always secure equipment or materials as best as you can for storage to make sure an accident, onsite or offsite, doesn’t occur from material flying from the job.
