Frank J. Amabile
Frank has been an important Shamrock Electric team member and leader since 1965. Appointed President in 1999, Frank was only the third person to hold this position in Shamrock Electric's history. In 2015 he moved from President to Principal of the company
After serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, Frank joined Shamrock Electric as a purchasing agent. His capabilities in purchasing, project management, estimating, and leadership helped Shamrock Electric achieve significant growth. As Executive Vice President, Frank delivered insights and guidance to help Shamrock’s business double in only five years.
As Principal, Frank continues to facilitate Shamrock Electric's continued growth and commitment to excellence.
Kevin M. O’Shea
Chief Executive Officer
As part of the O’Shea family, Kevin has always had a strong passion for business. This drove him to receive his B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and his M.B.A. in Accounting from DePaul University.
In 1989, Kevin rejoined his family’s business. He has been applying his financial and business expertise as Chief Financial Officer since 1991. Kevin also serves as the supervising electrician for Shamrock Electric and is a CCIFP.
Kevin continues to build Shamrock’s family driven, supportive culture – ensuring employee satisfaction, health, and financial well being.
John T. O’Shea
John entered into the family business in 1974 where he built his expertise in every corner and position of Shamrock Electric.
He rose to leadership in 1982, helping the downtown office grow and excel through 1997. John continued to lead the company as Vice President from 1996-2007.
In 2015, John became President of Shamrock Electric.
Richard A. ” Rick” Jansen
Rick received his B.B.A. from The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1979. He started with Shamrock Electric as a Purchasing Agent in 1982 after three years at ITT Financial. He has completed coursework in estimating from the National Electrical Contractors Association, has taken classes in Drafting and Electrical Design at Harper College and has been a Project Manager since 1992. He is a certified OSHA professional, and is trained to teach the OSHA 10 Hour Course. In conjunction with the Chicagoland Construction Safety Council, he has taught safety to over 100 Shamrock Electric employees. In 1996, he became Senior Project Manager and has been Vice President of the company since 2007.
Bradley A. James
Brad served his apprenticeship in IBEW Local 134 and earned journeyman status in 1986. He moved into project management in 1993 where he built upon his knowledge base developed in the field. In 2010, he joined Shamrock Electric and apprenticed for the Engineer position with our Engineer of 45 years, John Huff. Brad took over for John when he retired in 2013.
Patrick J. McKevitt
Director of Operations
Patrick received his B.S. from Illinois State University in 2003. He is a certified PMP, results oriented, hands-on project management and operations professional with over 10 years of expertise in directing projects and project teams. He worked his way up the ladder at Broadway Electric, from a Project Manager, to Senior Project Manager to Director of Operations during his tenure before recently joining the Shamrock Electric family as the Director of Operations in 2014.
CAD / BIM Engineer
Guillermo received his B.S. in Architectural Technologies from Robert Morris University in 2011. He joined Shamrock Electric in 2012 and is in charge of the BIM department. In addition, Guillermo also works with our engineer on Design / Build projects, and assists project managers.
