Lighting

15 Aug

As the Electrical contractor on projects, we are responsible for illuminating the job, whether that be temp lighting or permanent fixtures. Making sure work areas are well lit is an important part of the job. The clearer you can see, the less risk there is of something going wrong.  It is very important to make sure we have sufficient lighting across the project, and that we replace any burned or broken bulbs/lamps.  When moving from a darker area to a bright area, leave some time for your eyes to adjust back to the brightness level, and always make sure you can see where you are walking. Don’t try and “feel” your way through a hallway.  If it’s too dark to make out what’s in front of you grab a flashlight and/or find a temp source of lighting to illuminate the area.
