Communication is key, whether at work or at home.  No matter what you’re doing, you need to communicate with others. Communication is not limited to your voice; on the jobsite we use different colored tape and paint to communicate information.  There are signs indicating things such as Controlled Access Zones or Overhead Work.  For tasks that reduce the ability to hear we have hand signals in place to clearly communicate with each other. You need to make sure you have clear communication with everyone in your work vicinity so that you’re not doing anything that could put them in danger or that they could put you in danger with their work. So make sure you know what is happening around you to ensure you and others around you are safe.
